About us

Meadowbrook Dental Centre is a full service dental clinic located in beautiful Kingston Ontario. We have been serving Kingston and its surrounding communities since the early 1990's, when Dr. Scott Peterson and Dr. Scott Brown first started their partnership. Over the years, our practice has evolved into a clinic that can perform an extremely wide range of dental services.

Our clinic offers several unique services that we provide for our patients. One example is our range of dental anesthesia. We offer the complete outpatient range of sedation:

-Mild Nitrous Oxide anxiolysis

-Moderate Oral sedation

-Moderate Intravenous (IV) Sedation

We also use a range of modern technologies, such as 3D printing, same-day crowns, digital impressions, microscope enhanced dentistry, cone-beam CT (3D X-rays), and more, so that we can provide cutting edge dental services for our patients.

Dr. Scott

Peterson

Dr. Scott Peterson is a general dentist with extensive training and experience in oral implantology. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1986 and subsequently attended hospital internships at St. Joseph's Hospital and the University Hospital in London, Ontario. He is a member of the International College of Oral Implantologists, The Toronto Implant Institute and the Toronto Implant Study Club. He has extensive training in bone augmentation, implant surgery and restorative solutions.

Dr. Chris

Godbout

Dr. Chris Godbout is a general dentist who has developed an interest in comprehensive oral rehabilitation using a multidisciplinary approach through the application of modern digital workflows. He graduated from McGill University in 2015 where he received several awards for patient care and prosthodontics. His graduate research in materials science and chemical physics has given him a unique perspective on the use of modern dental materials, surface science and CAD/CAM technologies.

Dr. Yan

Wu

Dr. Yan Wu obtained his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Wu worked as a cancer researcher at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. He is currently a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Kingston & District Dental Society, and the International Team for Implantology.

Upon graduation, Dr. Wu began his practice in Northern Ontario where he provided care to the underserved communities. He also participated in a few humanitarian trips to Central America offering free dental care to the locals. Dr. Wu focuses on patient-centred care and customizes treatments to meet patients’ needs and wishes. He is happy to serve our patients in both English and Chinese.

Dr. Stephanie

Ponsford

Dr. Stephanie Ponsford is a General Dentist and Maritimer from Halifax, Nova Scotia where she earned a Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary’s University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie (2011). She is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), serving on the Education Advisory Committee, which is the primary Continuing Education resource for General Dentists within Ontario. She is also an active member of the local Kingston & District Dental Society.

Dr. Ponsford has lived and practiced dentistry across Canada (Alberta, Nunavut and New Brunswick) prior to joining Meadowbrook Dental Centre in 2020. She enjoys providing leadership in large, patient centric practices and the camaraderie of MDC. She is passionate about customer service, especially accommodating anxious patients, and strives to provide the most comfortable experience possible.

Dr. Paul Sirek

Dr. Paul Sirek received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from McMaster University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Anatomy from Western University. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honours at the University of Toronto and received special recognition in Clinical Oral Diagnosis.

Paul strives to provide outstanding care to people of all ages and ease some of the anxiety and fear that can accompany dental treatment. He offers sedation options to make his patients more comfortable if warranted. He is passionate about oral surgery, providing treatments such as difficult extractions, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, and implant placement. He has also taken various continuing education courses in root canal therapy, soft tissue management, and cosmetics. Prior to moving to Kingston, Paul was a Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto Dental School.

When he is not at the office with patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, as well as skiing, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
